Economy
A recession is a difficult time. Resources and funds flowing to Malheur County need to be managed even more carefully. I have been a successful businessman for nearly forty years and am qualified to oversee, protect and safeguard the County’s resources and funds. Diversifying our employment base is the right direction for the future of our County. Government should support and protect our businesses, and farms, and not add more red tape.
Health Care
Money will be generated by the Passage of the new health legislation in Washington D.C. States and Counties will receive more federal health care dollars. Malheur County public officials need to be vigilant about receiving and administering these additional local funds.
Public Safety
Living in our small, safe neighborhoods is one of the advantages of this area. I have a reputation of supporting public safety agencies. I applaud their dedication and service and will do all that I can to see that our rural way of life is conserved and protected.
